Fontys ACI gave a rousing send-off to Su Yeon Lee from Seoul, Korea, our first ever international exchange student.
After signing a memorandum of understanding with Dongguk University in Seoul, Republic of Korea, Su Yeon Lee was the first international exchange student ever to arrive at Fontys Academy for Creative Industries. To commemorate her stay Fontys ACI put up a portrait of Su in the reading room on the second floor of the ACI-building. Su studied at Fontys from August 2010 to July 2011. She spent the larger part of her second semester at the Fontys Academy for Journalism.
Farah Souiri, teaching assistent for exchange students, wrote these words about Su: "As she came from our partner Dongguk University in Seoul, we were very happy that she had such a great time. Su was the first one to personify the international identity of the IEMES bachelors. When she was asked what her thoughts were about Holland, Su would always say
Ik hou van Holland and
French fries with mayonnaise. Su is a great role model for all future international students. She left a footprint at our academy and in our hearts."
Su's ambition is to work as an international tv correspondent for Korean broadcasting networks. We wish Su a wonderful career and a very happy future.
